Most charges withdrawn against Brownsville man
The majority of charges were withdrawn this afternoon against a Brownsville man police allege assaulted a woman and their 2-year-old daughter during a domestic dispute in Brownsville on Aug. 23.
Sylvester Durant Jr., 32, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors withdrew the aggravated assault and recklessly endangering the welfare of a child charges and Durant waived the remaining count to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Mike Defino Jr.
