Anna Cettin Novak, 96, of Bobtown, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at home.

She was born April 16, 1917 in Omaha, Nebraska daughter of Martin and Anna Cizel Cettin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew “Judge” Novak in 1977 and three brothers, Rudy, Edward, and Frank Cettin.

She had worked for the Company Store in Bobtown and the Houze Glass Factory in Point Marion for 30 years.

She was a member of Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Church of Bobtown, former member of the Rosary Altar Society at Saint Ignatius, the Shannopin Civic Club and Bobtown Volunteer Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary of Bobtown.

She is survived by two sons, William Novak and wife, Myrna, of Carmichaels and Richard Novak and wife, Patty, of Hickory, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Carolyn Whollery and husband, Dave, Sue Faieta and husband, Scott, Richard Novak and wife, Jennifer, Cindy Spencer and husband, Ken, Dennise Kimberling and husband, Kevin, Dave Novak and wife, Patty, Leah Daniel and husband, Frank, Deborah Dugan and husband, Chris, and Doug Novak; three step-grandchildren, Kelly Sabol and husband, Leonard, Chris Sabol, Cindy Demniak and husband, Dave, 18 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren; her brother, John Cettin, 3 sisters-in-law, Mary Brown and husband, Harry, Amelia Novak, Alice Novak; a special friend, Shaun Pegg , and many nieces and nephews.

Anna enjoyed playing bingo, cards, going to the casinos, and making quilts.

The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Allen Hess and Amedisys Hospice for the excellent care given to Anna.

Friends will be received in the LOUIS E. RUDOLPH FUNERAL HOME, Thomas B. Rudolph, Funeral Director and Supervisor, 15 Main St. Point Marion on Friday, September 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, September 7 until 9:15 a.m. when brief prayers will be said in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Ignatius Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Rev. Fr. Lawrence V. Holpp as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.

Parish Vigil service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
