PennDOT announces work schedule
Chris Sleighter, Fayette County maintenance manager with the state Department of Transportation, has announced the following tentative work plan for the week beginning Monday.
n Bridge replacement is scheduled on state Route 4032 (Bolden Road).
n Shoulder cutting is scheduled on state Route 4005 (Grindstone Road), state Route 4036 (Morgan/Newell/Central School Road) and state Route 201 in Redstone Township.
n Paving is scheduled on state Route 4022 in LaBelle, state Route 4020 (Prison Road), state Route 40 (Redstone Way), state Route 4028 (Tippecanoe Road), state Route 4027 (Gillespie Road) and state Route 2016 (Mount Vernon Avenue).
n Milling is scheduled on state Route 3006 (New Geneva Road).
n Ditch cleaning is scheduled on state Route 2012 in Ohiopyle.
n Shoulder stabilization is scheduled on state routes 1027 and 1050 in Bullskin Township and state Route 2017 (Cranberry).
n Shoulder drop-off repair is scheduled on state Route 2011 (Farmington-Ohiopyle Road).
Signs will be updated, downed signs will be replaced and work orders will be addressed on various state roads throughout the county.
All maintenance activities are conducted as the weather permits. PennDOT said motorists should drive with caution throughout all work areas and be alert for signed work zones requiring the use of headlights.
PENNDOT has a 24-hour toll-free number for residents to call to report any road maintenance concern. The number also can be used to report locations of dead deer on state highways.
