Adeline R. Michael Clarchick
Adeline R. Michael Clarchick, 83, of Carmichaels died September 9, 2013 in her home.
Mrs. Clarchick was born March 24, 1930 in Thomas, W.Va., the daughter of the late Thomas and Amelia Joseph Michael.
On June 30, 1962, Adeline married John R. Clarchick, who survives. Also surviving are three children, John Clarchick, Carmichaels, Michael Clarchick, Boynton Beach, Florida, and Mary Silverthorn (Dean) Carmichaels; seven grandchildren, Michael Ryan Haller, Rachael, Stephanie, and Patrick Pratt, Pauline, Heather, and Victoria Clarchick; three great-grandchildren, Lillian, Mya, and Gracelyn Pratt; two brothers, Charles Michael, Thomas Michael (Barbara) and two sisters, Jenny Murphy and Amy George (Duke).
Deceased are two sisters, Sally Carom and Mary Hanna and a brother, Joseph Michael.
Mrs. Clarchick was a graduate of Seton Hill College and Case Western Reserve University. She was a teacher at the former St. Joseph Catholic School, Uniontown and retired from the Carmichaels Area School District.
Mrs. Clarchick was a former member of St. George Maronite Church, Uniontown and had recently been made a member of the Order of St. Sharbel.
She was a member of St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels, and Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at St. Hugh. For many years, Mr. and Mrs. Clarchick sold religious articles at St. Hugh in support of the CCD Classes.
Friends will be received in the LESAKO FUNERAL HOME INC., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320 (724-966-5100), Paul M. Lesako Funeral Director/Supervisor on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by a Mass at 11:30 a.m. in St. Hugh Church, Carmichaels with the Reverend John Bauer Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
A Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
