Thomas P. Orbash (Please note change in day of visitation.)
Thomas P. Orbash, age 85, of Penncraft, Pa., passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 in the Uniontown Hospital.
He was born April 12, 1928, a son of the late John Orbash and Victoria Boskovich Orbash.
Thomas was a life-long resident of Luzerne Township and was the owner/operator of Orbash Service Station in Penncraft for many years. He also was a long-time bus driver for the Brownsville Area School District, driving Bus 37.
An avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and NASCAR fan, he was also a life member of the Fairbank Rod and Gun Club, a life member of the Hiller Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the former Isabella Rod and Gun Club.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Nelson, Frank, Stanley, Joseph, Carl, Clarence and Edward Orbash and his parents.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Alma Jean Carney Orbash; his children, Karen Christopher and husband, Ernest ‘Bud’ of Penncraft, Susan Orbash and fiancee, Joseph Lint of Fairbank, Pa. and Tammy Adamson and husband, Thomas Jr., of East Millsboro, Pa.; grandchildren, Heather Keffer and husband, Brian, Ernest Christopher III and wife, Kate, and Thomas W. Adamson; a great-granddaughter, Elise Erin Christopher; sisters, Stella Bindas of Washington, Pa. and Betty Orbash of Merrittstown, Pa. and brothers, William Orbash of Merrittstown, George Orbash and wife, Joan, of Avon Lake, Ohio and James Orbash and wife, Rosalie, of Brownsville, Pa.
Friends will be received in the ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME, Legion St., Republic, Pa. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, September 19 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of service with Rev. Roger L. Diehl officiating. Interment will be in Acklin Burial Park, Hopewell Road, Brownsville, Pa.
