John Miller Sr. ‘Buck’
DAWSON
John “Buck” Miller Sr., 80, of Dawson, Pa., died Saturday, September 21, 2013 at his residence.
He was born August 15, 1933 in Perryopolis, Pa., the son of Charles Leroy Miller and Sara (Lancaster) Miller.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Bricklayer for many years with the Layton Fire and Clay Company.
He was a member of Bryan United Methodist Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Douglas E. Miller and Henry L. Miller; brothers, Arthur, George and Joseph; and sisters, Florence and Linda.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Secrest) Miller; two sons: John Miller Jr. and his wife Pam of Dawson and James Miller and his wife Coleen of Scottdale; a daughter, Kathy Stone and son-in-law, John Stone of Dawson; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Miller of Mount Pleasant; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Miller; step brother, William Shipley; sisters: Mary Younkin, Charlotte King, Hazel Johnson; and step sister, Ruth Ann Shipley.
Family and Friends will be received Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., Dennis N. Heath Jr., Supervisor, 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., where Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, September 25, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ed Sutton officiating.
Interment follows in Bryan United Methodist Church Cemetery.
