Sisters to stand trial in robbery and assault
Fayette County sisters who police allege conspired to assault and rob an elderly woman as she was exiting a store in March will stand trial.
Brittany Joyce Boyd, 24, of 303 Easter St., North Union Township and Jenna Shay Boyd, of North Union Township are each charged with robbing Mary Yourchik, 82, also of North Union Township, outside the Walmart Supercenter in South Union Township on March 22.
Magisterial District Judge Joseph M. George Jr. held all charges against the sisters for Fayette County Court after hearing testimony from witnesses at the store, police and a Brownsville man who later attempted to help the sisters use credit cards stolen from Yourchik.
