Applause — Dusti Lowery
The Education Council of the Fayette Chamber of Commerce honored Dusti Lowery of Uniontown as a Student of the Month for March.
A junior at Fayette County Career and Technical Institute, Lowery is also a student at Laurel Highlands High School and is involved in school activities that include Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Skills USA. She has also received an Academic Excellence award.
Outside of school, she has volunteered with the Adopt a Highway Program and Toys for Tots. Additionally, she has work experience at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex and as a Herald-Standard carrier assistant.
Lowery plans to attend Westmoreland County Community College to study in the pharmacy technician program, with the goal of becoming a pharmacist. She is a daughter of Kelly Lowery and Guy Lowery.
The chamber’s Student of the Month program selects students based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities and citizenship.
