Harry W. Raymond, age 76, of Hopwood, PA, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at his home with his loving wife at his side.

Harry was born August 31, 1937, in Chalk Hill, PA, son of the late Daniel and Ida Bell Mitchell Raymond.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Frank, Gerald, Ervin, Harold and Glenn Raymond and sisters, Alberta Mancini and Jean Boger.

Harry attended Bethel Baptist Church. He worked as a miner for Cannon Coal Company and was a life member of the North Union V.F.W.

Harry enjoyed watching NASCAR, football and western movies and he enjoyed taking his dog Tiny for rides in the car.

Left to cherish Harry’s memory are his wife, Elaine Yagle Raymond; sisters, Inez Kollar and husband, Don of Michigan, Mary Lou Plues and husband, Ed of Ohio and Maxine Fetcho of Ohio; brother-in-law, Bernard Yagle and wife, Debbie of Claysville, PA, and sisters-in-law, Bernadette Yagle of Uniontown, PA and Diane Poundstone and husband, Chuck of Uniontown, PA.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where family and friends may call today, April 4, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. and on Saturday, April 5, 2014, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Harry’s life at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bryan Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

Military rites will be accorded by North Union VFW Post 8543.
