Mary Margaret Kovalcik Patchan
Mary Margaret (Kovalcik) Patchan, age 94, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 8, 2014, in the Mt. Macrina Manor.
She was born on June 23, 1919, in Slovakia, the daughter of the late John Kovalcik and Zofia Zatsko Kovalcik.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stephen T. Patchan; sisters: Eva Kovalcik, Josephine Kovalcik, Sophie Kovalcik, Agnes, Kovalcik and Anna Kovalcik and brothers, Michael Kovalcik and Joseph Kovalcik.
Mary was a member of St. Mary Nativity Roman Catholic Church. She was strong in her faith, strong willed, and lived by the Golden Rule.
She is survived by her loving children: Lucille King and husband, John of Connellsville, PA, and Tom Patchan and wife, Janie of Monarch, PA; loving grandchildren: Andrew Zrust, Stephen T. Patchan, and Kristofer G. Patchan.
Friends will be received in the KEZMARSKY FUNERAL HOME, 71 Pennsylvania Avenue, Uniontown PA, on Thursday, April 10, 2014, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday morning, time to be announced.
Interment will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Fairchance, PA.
A parish wake service will be held on Thursday at 3:30 pm.
