Lila H. (Cole) Rhodes, age 82, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014
She was born March 13, 1932 in Minor Hill, Tennessee the daughter of Murel Cole and Octavie (Norwood) Cole.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles ‘Wayne’ Rhodes Sr.; sons, Steven Rhodes and Murel Rhodes; brothers, Edwin Cole, David Cole; sister, Willa Zoo Sharp.
Lila is survived by her children: Gwendolyn Higaki and her husband Vernon, Charles W. Rhodes Jr. and his wife Linda, Rosalind Howell and her husband Brian; grandchildren: Katherine R h o d e s DiSantis, Cortney Howell, Charles James Rhodes, Jessica H o w e l l; step-grand children: Kyle Higaki and Derek Higaki; and great granddaughters: Leah and Gia.
Lila’s family received friends for a memorial gathering to celebrate the lives of Lila and her late husband Wayne yesterday, Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the JOHNSON – ROMITO F U N E R A L H O M E 99 West Aurora Road, Northfield Center, OH 44067 (330.468.1443).
Interment will take place Monday, April 14, 2014 at 2 p.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance, Pa.
