Barbara (Schiffbauer) Vance McClelland
Barbara (Schiffbauer) Vance McClelland, age 73, of Uniontown, PA, passed away April 15, 2013, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center.
She was born June 19, 1940, in Star Junction, PA, daughter of the late Fredrick Schiffbauer and Ada (Shumar) Schiffbauer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John, Ted and Robert Schiffbauer and her sister, Pegg Speelman.
Barbara graduated from Perryopolis High School in 1956. She worked as a secretary for the American Cancer Society and a clerk for Value City. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Fairchance. Her family was her life.
Left to cherish Barbara’s memory, are her son, Donald A. Vance and wife, Tracy of Denver CO; daughter, Kathleen Braham of Uniontown, PA; grandchildren: Alan M. Braham and Ian D. Vance and Taylor; sisters: June Husar of Pittsburgh, PA and Betty Nichols of Mather, PA; ex-husbands: Donald Vance and Gene McClelland and former son-in-law, Mark Braham.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME, 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA, where family and friends may call on Monday, April 21, from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 22, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Barbara’s life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Robertson officiating.
