John E. Pahula
John E. Pahula, age 87, Allison Heights, Fayette County, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in Sinclair Personal Care Home.
He was born December 28, 1926 in Mutual, Westmoreland County, Pa., son of Steve Pahula and Julia Garber Pahula.
John was a member of the former Holy Rosary Church, Republic.
He retired from United States Steel’s Duquesne Works, a steel mill.
John enjoyed spending time at his mountain property.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Julia Pehur, Betty Mantenuti; brothers, Joseph Pahula and Robert Pahula; and his parents.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline (Yocabet) Pahula daughters Darlene Wible and her husband Larry and Joanne Fraley and her husband Daniel all of Brownsville, Pa.; grand children: Kevin Wible and wife Kellie, Brian Fraley, and Hilary Clark and husband Bryan; six great grandchildren: Alexandria and Noah W i b l e, Morgan a n d Emma Fraley, Brody and Beckett Clark; sisters: Janet Wingrove and husband Ron, Ralph, Pa., Shirley Baer, Ralph, Pa., Mary Russian of Keeney Row, Republic; a sister-in-law, Betty Pahula of New Salem, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in ROBERT T. KISH FUNERAL HOME INC., 19 Legion Street, Republic, Pa., Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Friday, April 25, until 9:30 a.m. when a Prayer Service will be held.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. in the Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Footedale, Pa., with the Rev. Father William G. Berkey as Celebrant.
Entombment will follow in The Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at Lafayette Memorial Park
