The Mountain Weatherman: Where Did the Warmth Go?

1 min read

We had a cool day as the skies cleared yesterday afternoon and that set the stage for a cold night here in the mountains.  The high yesterday was 47, the overnight low 23, breaking the old record of 24 set in 1989, and at 7AM we were 23 degrees under clear skies.  There was no precipitation.  We’ll be quite a bit milder today but I don’t think we’ll make it to our normal high of 64 as the high clouds will be on the increase this afternoon holding the temperature down a bit.  A cool front will bring showers in tomorrow morning that should end by evening then another disturbance will stir up a  more showers late tomorrow night that will last into Saturday morning.  Sunday and Monday are looking pretty good with temperatures getting back close to normal on Monday then the rest of next week will be showery and much cooler than normal.
