Marie M. (Pierotti) Galla
Marie M. (Pierotti) Galla, age 93, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 25, 1921 in Wickhaven, Pa., the daughter of Silvio Pierotti and Edna (Nigra) Pierotti.
Marie was a member of Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, Pa., Saint John’s Altar Society, Past Venerable of Roman Star Lodge No. 1914, Saint John’s Goldenagers, Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge 730, Perryopolis, and the Perry Travel Club.
Marie will be best remembered for her fantastic c a t e r i n g business which touched the lives of many people from the surrounding area for numerous years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew P. Galla; grandson, Donald Lynch; son-in-law, Michael Fenyar; and two brothers, Silvio Pierotti and John Pierotti.
She is survived by her loving children: daughter Joyce Lynch and husband Donald, Perryopolis son, Thomas Galla and wife Janet, Perryopolis; son, Paul Galla and wife Deborah, Star Junction, Pa.; daughter, Karen Adams and husband Rick of Star Junction; daughter, Cynthia ‘Cindy’ Fenyar, Fayette City, Pa.; grandchildren: Dan and Jackie Kordich, Craig and Deanna Kordich, Sarah Adams, Erick Adams and his fiancee Maria Marshall, Bill and Rhonda Lynch, Jason and Elaina Lynch, Brad and Jessica Lynch, Jennifer and Rob Palko, Aaron and Jen Galla, Amanda and Stephen Felsher, Michael Galla and Larry, Andrew and Lindsay Galla, Lauren Fenyar and fiance Aaron Krepps, Jocelyn Fenyar; great-grandchildren, Hannah Palko, Nathan Lynch, Daniel Kordich, Keith Palko, Matthew Kordich, Jacob Kordich, Maria Felsher, Nicholas Kordich, Brad Lynch Jr., Madeline K o r d i c h, A r a b e l l a L y n c h, Savannah Lynch, Aaden Galla and Colton Galla; brother, Peter Pierotti and wife Olga of Perryopolis; s i s t e r, P a u l i n e T i m k o of Perryopolis; sister, Adeline Walkush of Belle Vernon, Pa.; sister, Jean Ambrose of Belle Vernon sister, Joan Beaumariage and husband Bill of Uniontown, Pa.; sister, M a r l e n e Pope and husband Fred, Scottsdale Arizona; sister-in-law, J o a n n Pierotti of Valparaiso, I n d i a n a; sister-in-law, Helen Patrick of Monessen, Pa.; sister-in-law Ann Ziemba of Alexandria, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Vera Galla of Grindstone, Pa.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received today, April 27, from Noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday, April 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm in ELEY-MCCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, PA (724.326.5621), www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com where Prayer Service will be held Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. in Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis, with Rev. Father Anthony W. Ditto as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in St. Nicholas Cemetery, Perryopolis, Pa.

Sons and Daughters of Italy Lodge No. 730, Perryopolis, will conduct services today at 1 p.m. in the funeral home.
Members of St. John’s parish will pray the Rosary in the Funeral Home on Monday at 3 for the departed soul of Marie Galla followed by a Parish Wake Service at 3:30 p.m.
