Dorothy (Christopher) Snyder, age 90, former resident of Uniontown, Pa., passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2014 in the South Connellsville Personal Care Home, Connellsville

Dorothy was born in Haydentown, Pa., Friday, December 28, 1923 the daughter of Dana Christopher and Olive (Swaney) Christopher.

She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, Pa.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward L. Snyder who passed away on Friday, December 20, 1996; and a daughter-in-law, Charlene Snyder.

She is survived by her children: Edward D. Snyder of Ormond Beach Florida, Patricia Goron and her husband Ronald of Connellsville, Pa., and Deborah Snyder of Uniontown, Pa.; four grandchildren: Kerry Shipley and her husband John, Nathan Snyder, Tara Patterson and her husband Bart, and April Seymour and her husband Chris; and her three greatgrandchildren Sawyer, Sydney, Hailey.

Friends will be received in the THOMAS M. DOLFI FUNERAL HOME, 136 North Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown Pa., today (Monday April 28) until 9:30 a.m. at which time Prayers will be said.

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in Saint John the E v a n g e l i s t Roman C a t h o l i c C h u r c h, 50 Jefferson Street, with Reverend Father William J. Kiel as Celebrant.

Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa

Visitation was also held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m.
