Uniontown woman killed in car crash

State police said a Uniontown woman was killed in a violent car accident Sunday in Redstone Township.

Police said a vehicle driven by Christy M. Moody, 29, was traveling at a high rate of speed when she lost control of the vehicle around 11:27 p.m. on Route 40 about a quarter mile from David Siding Road. Police said the vehicle was airborne as it rolled and flipped numerous times, hit a parked car before it crash landed on the front porch of a private residence.

Police said Moody was pronounced dead 12:42 a.m. today by Fayette County Deputy Coroner Bob Furin.
