Fairchance water boil advisory lifted

By The 1 min read

Fairchance residents are no longer being advised to boil their water before consuming it.A major water main break Aug. 8 caused the borough to issue the boil-water advisory as a precaution. The authority lifted the advisory Wednesday, said Karen Caringola, the borough’s executive secretary. Borough residents were without water for about four hours after the line break before service was restored, Caringola said. Residents were asked to boil water to make sure there were no contaminants in the water supply following the break.
