Cal U recognized

The Princeton Review has named California University of Pennsylvania among the best universities in the northeastern United States for the 10th consecutive year.

The education services company selected Cal U as one of 226 institutions profiled in the “Best of the Northeast” section of its “2015 Best Colleges: Region by Region” listing.

The Princeton Review said the 648 colleges — or about 25 percent of the country’s 2,500 four-year institutions — chosen from across the nation this year passed its review for academic excellence.

Selections are based on data collected at institutions, visits to the schools and the opinions of independent and high-school-based college advisers. The selection process also took into account comments made by students.

Cal U earned high marks for its technology and the campus’ visual appeal. Student responses displayed enthusiasm about the school’s friendly and diverse student body.

The “Best of the Northeast” ranking consists of schools from Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington, D.C.
