The Reverend William D. “Bill” Rodahaver

The Reverend William D. Rodahaver, age 93, Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2014 in Point Manor North.
He was born Tuesday, October 12, 1920 in Farmington, Pa., the son of William H. Rodahaver and Bessie C. (Montague) Rodahaver.
‘Bill’ was a 1937 graduate of Confluence High School.
He graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 1941.
He worked for his grandfather and his father at the Rodahaver Funeral Home in Markleysburg, Pa., from 1937 to 1950.
William served in the United States Army in the Pacific Theatre of Operation during World War II.
He graduated from Grove City College in 1954 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Christian Education and in 1960 from the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree.
Rev. Rodahaver served in the Allegheny Region Conference from 1950 to 1990 in various positions.
He served on the Board of Trustees of Findlay College for three years and served on the Board of Directors of Grove Manor Nursing Home.
He served as Interim Director of Project Help in Haiti for two years.
Rev. Rodahaver was Pastor of Visitation at the Third Presbyterian Church for 14 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Guala.
Left to cherish Bill’s memory are his beloved wife of 74 years, Naomi (Zimmerman) Rodahaver of Uniontown, Pa.; two daughters: Lois Ann Guala of Hopwood, Pa., and Joyce Elaine Henry and her husband Louis of Markleysburg, Pa.; his brother, Henry Rodahaver and his wife Elizabeth of Weirsdale, Florida; sister-in-law, Willetta Zimmerman of Louisville, Ohio; two grandchildren: Gerald (Stinger) Guala and wife Maria of Paris, Virginia and Amy Sue Guala of Burlington, Vermont; two nieces, one nephew, one great niece and one great nephew.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where family and friends may call on Friday, August 22 from 1:00 until 9:00 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Saturday, August 23rd, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. in the THIRD PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 425 Union Street, Uniontown, Pa., followed by a Service celebrating Bill’s life at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Enoch and the Rev. D. Keith Solomon from The Church of God co-officiating.
Interment will follow in Addison Cemetery, Addison, Pa., where Military Rites will be accorded by the General George C. Marshall AMVETS Post 103.
