Fire damages Brownsville business

Firefighters from two counties battled a blaze that caused heavy damage to a business Monday evening in Brownsville.
Fayette County 911 said the fire was reported around 7:46 p.m. at a new heating and cooling business that recently located at 455 Union St. near Route 40.
Fayette 911 said no one was hurt and firefighters from Fayette and Washington counties were still on scene as of 9:30 p.m.
State police fire marshal has been contacted to investigate.
Brownsville Volunteer Fire Departments — Northside and South Brownsville — were assisted by Republic, Hiller and West Brownsville, Denbo-Vesta 6 and California.
Fayette EMS’s rehab unit was on scene to assist first responders cope with frigid temperatures in the low 30s.
