Virginia C. (Combs) Elleard, age 87, of Dunbar, Pennsylvania passed away Thursday, December 4, 2014 in the Uniontown Hospital.

She was born Sunday, December 19, 1926 in Uppermiddletown, Pa., daughter of the now late Luther Combs and Laura (Conard) Combs

Virginia was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

She worked as a Cook for Francis Market on South Street for 13 years, Uniontown, Pennsylvania

She was a member of the American Legion Post 51 Ladies Auxiliary, 50-year member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 228 at 19 Penn Street in Uniontown and also the Moose Lodge No. 194 Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Elleard; grandson, David Shoemaker; sisters, Leota Kittredge, Blanche Burwell, Eleanor Noble; brothers, Joseph Combs and Howard Combs; and son-in-law, Jack Vall.

Left to cherish Virginia’s memory are her four children: Bessie Vall of Darien, Georgia and her two children Calvin Etherington III and Danielle Seavert, Jamie Shoemaker and her husband William of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and their three children Patrick Shoemaker, Kathryn Rylee and Kori Daniel, Samuel Elleard and his wife Susan of Dunbar, Pennsylvania and their four children Christina Casto, Heidi Elleard, Allison Vandiver and Suzann Elleard, James Edward Elleard and his wife Ruth of Dunbar, Pennsylvania and daughter Samantha Elleard; many great grandchildren; sisters: Harriet Forcheck of Fairbank, Pa., Hazel Baker of Hopwood, Pa., and Jean Michael of Dover, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where family and friends may call Sunday, December 7th, from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. and Monday, December 8th, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Service Celebrating Virginia’s Life at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor DeWitt Clinton officiating.

Interment will follow in Park Place Cemetery, Uniontown, Pennsylvania
