Charles S. “Chuck” McManus
Charles S. ‘Chuck’ McManus, age 72, of Smock, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home.
He was born Tuesday, September 29, 1942 in Wickhaven, Pa., son of the late Ralph McManus and Lenora (Ringer) McManus.
‘Chuck’ was employed at United States Steel’s Maple Creek Mine.
He was a very loving husband and a loving, devoted father, grand father, and great grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph, Ray, Robert, and James McManus; sisters, Barbara McManus, Rose Marie McManus, Betty Jean McManus.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jean (Lovis) McManus; three daughters: Pamela Constable and husband Albert of Footedale, Pa., Lisa Pearson and husband Michael, Smock, Pa., Lynette Judy and husband Darren of Belle Vernon, Pa.; four grand children: Alexandria Lynn McManus, Deven Charles Judy, Lucas Wayne Judy, and Kate Angela Mae Judy; a great-grandson, Dylan Charles McManus; four sisters: Mary Ohler of Uniontown, Pa., Shirley Moore of Uniontown, Pa., Mabel Taxacher of Smithfield, Pa., Joanne Savage of Brownsville, Pa. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins; many friends.
Friends will be received in the DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, Pa., on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Friday, December 12, until 11:00 a.m. when a Blessing Service will be held with Rev. Father Vincent J. Gigliotti officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
