Jerome K. “Jerry” Wiley

Jerome K. ‘Jerry’ Wiley, age 76, Bobtown, Pa., passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at his home with his loving family at his side.
Born in Bobtown on Wednesday, December 29, 1937 he was a son of the late John B. Wiley and Viola (Tinkey) Wiley
Mr. Wiley was a faithful member and Trustee of the Bobtown United Methodist Church
He had served a term as Dunkard Township Supervisor, and prior to that, was an employee of the township for 19 years.
He was currently the Chairman of the Board of the Bobtown-Dunkard Municipal Authority.
Jerome graduated from Mapletown High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He was a former member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Jerome was the last of his immediate family having been predeceased by four brothers, John ‘Jack’, Eugene, James and Lynn Wiley, sisters, Wilmerine Stahoviak and Paulina Wiley; and one granddaughter, Elizabeth Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vauda (Mackley) Wiley; a son, John Wiley and his fianceé Rachel Harvey of Point Marion, Pa.; two daughters and their husbands: Lisa and Ralph Morris of Rivesville, West Virginia and Jill and Frank Greenwood of Bobtown; and three grandchildren: Jonathan Wiley, Allison Scott, and Joshua Greenwood; and one new great-grandson expected in about two weeks.
Friends will be received in RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., Philip S. Rishel, Owner and Director, on Thursday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Friday, December 12, 2014 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service with Reverend Ed Hanley officiating.
Interment will follow in Wolf’s Cemetery, Dilliner, Pennsylvania.
Memorials in lieu of other tokens of sympathy may be offered to the Bobtown United Methodist Church, % Arnold Friend, Box 7, Bobtown, PA 15315.
