Paul R. Dreucci
Paul R. Dreucci, age 82, Washington, Pa., formerly of Richeyville, Pa., died on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 in the Donnell House.
He was born Saturday, May 21, 1932 son of Paul M. Dreucci and Elizabeth (Sweitzer) Dreucci in Smallwood, (in Borough of California, Pa.), Washington County, Pa.
Mr. Dreucci was a 1950 graduate of Charleroi High School.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a longtime member of the Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post No. 705 in Centerville.
He was also a member of the Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Monessen, Pennsylvania.
On Sunday, July 15, 1956, Paul married Eva Romanakis (Romanos) Dreucci inSaint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church.
In 1994, he retired with 39 years service from Page Aluminized Steel (formerly American Chain and Cable) of Monessen, Pennsylvania.
He was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local Union 1391 where he served for 22 years as Recording Secretary.
He previously served as Union President and Union Vice President.
Surviving are his wife, Eva Dreucci; a daughter, Penelope ‘Penny’ Phillips of Washington, Pa.; one granddaughter, Felicia M. Phillips of Washington, Pa.; two brothers: Frank Dreucci (Dora) of Richeyville, Pa., and William Dreucci (Karen) of Uniontown, Pa.; three nieces: Darla Opal, Candace Gabeletto, Karianne Dreucci; and two nephews: Frank C. Dreucci, Marty Dreucci.
Friends will be received Thursday from 12 Noon to 9 p.m. in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, Pa., where Family and Friends will gather at 12 Noon on Friday, December 12, 2014 to proceed to a 1:00 p.m. Funeral Service in the Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, 115 Saint Spyridon Lane, Monessen, PA 15062 with Rev. Father Joseph Z. DiStefano as Celebrant
Entombment will follow in Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pennsylvania where Military Rites//Honors will be accorded by the Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post No. 705 of Centerville, Pa
Triagion Service will be held in Funeral Home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
The family suggests memorial contributions in lieu of other tokens of sympathy be made to the Saint Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Post Office Box 327, Monessen, PA 15062 or to the Donnell House, c/o Washington Health System Hospice Care, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
