Rosa L. (Fike) Collins
Rosa L. (Fike) Collins, age 70, New Geneva, Pa., passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Hillside Manor in Uniontown, Pa., with her beloved sons at her side.
Born Sunday, August 20, 1944 in Hazleton, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Elzie Fike and Margaret (Frantz) Fike.
Rosa was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jesse E. ‘Pete’ Collins (Saturday, October 18, 2014); grand son, Zachary Collins; a sister, Naomi Rosenberger; and three brothers-in-law, Roger Rosenberger, Junior Lose, Donald Summers.
Surviving are her five sons and their wives: Richard and Darla Collins and Ronald and Sallie Collins all of New Geneva, Dave and Mary Lou Collins and Jess and Lisa Collins all of Masontown, Pa., Danny and Mary Jean Collins of Erie, Pa.; 13 grand children and five great grandchildren; two brothers: Junior Fike of Markleysburg, Pa., and Doug Fike of Preston County, West Virginia; three sisters: Ethel Lose of Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, Sylvia Summers of Clifton Mills, West Virginia and Patsy Funk of Confluence, Pa.; and her sister-in-law, Opal K. Jordan and husband Dave Jordan of Masontown, Pa.
Friends will be received in RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, December 20, 2014 until 10:30 a.m., the hour of Service with Rev. Alvie Edwards officiating
Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery New Geneva, Pa.
