Police accuse two men of robbery, assault

State police accused two men of assault and robbery in an incident allegedly involving drugs and a television set Friday in Fayette County.

Police allege that around 1 a.m., Ryan Michael Miciotto and Steven Ray Baker Jr. went to an apartment on Bryson Boulevard to sell a television.

When the residents of opened their apartment door, the complaint said, Miciotto and Baker rushed inside and allegedly attempted to rob the residents of their suboxone, which is used to treat heroin and opiate addiction.

Police did not identify the alleged victims in the assault.

Police allege that Miciotto and Baker threatened to shoot and cut the residents’ throats. The men then allegedly used their fists to hit one of the victims in the right side of the head, police said.

When police arrested Misciotto, 22, of Allison and Baker, 17, of McClellandtown on Friday, they were charged with robbery, attempted robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, aggravated assault, ,terroristic threats, possession of instruments of crime, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and criminal mischief, according to court documents.

Miciotto was additionally charged with corruption of a minor and making repairs/selling an offensive weapon, according to court documents.

Baker, who was charged as an adult, and Miciotto were arraigned Friday by Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic II, who set their bond at $50,000 each. The men were taken to Fayette County Prison.

Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 31.
