Connellsville police officer placed on administrative leave

1 min read

Connellsville police Chief James Capitos confirmed that a Connellsville police officer has been placed on administrative leave.

Sgt. Ryan Reese was placed on administrative leave Dec. 18.

Capitos declined further comment except to say that Reese has been a police officer for a little more than 14 years. Reese was promoted to sergeant in 2011.

“I can confirm that he is not on the (Fayette County drug) task force at the time, but I don’t have a comment on the Connellsville police situation,” said Ryan Clark, spokesperson for District Attorney Jack R. Heneks Jr.

Connellsville Mayor Greg Lincoln said, “until we can legally say something, I can’t comment on anything.”
