Laurella M. (Morgan) Clemmer, age 95, of Point Marion, Pa., passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at her home following an illness of several months.

Born on Monday, July 14, 1919 in Springhill Township (Morgan’s Grove), Fayette County, Pa., she was a daughter of the now late George H. Morgan and Maude (Rider) Morgan.

She graduated from the former Georges Township High School.

Laurella was a faithful member of the Fallen Timbers Community Chapel and a former member of the Fallen Timbers Methodist Church where she served as Treasurer as well as a number of positions in theChildrens Department for many years.

She was a former member of the Gallatin Grange No. 1580 where she was the Chairman of the Women’s Activities.

Laurella was an avid gardener and enjoyed quilting in her spare time

She was well known in the area for her beautiful pies and delicious baked goods!

A very loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of her family, she is survived by her three sons and their wives: Harry C. and Betty Clemmer of Smithfield, Pa., Russell and Beverly Clemmer of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Ronald and Elaine Clemmer, Smithfield, Pa. six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Her beloved husband, Chester C. Clemmer, passed away on Friday, May 29, 1998. Also deceased is her brother, Harold Morgan.

Friends will be received in RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday, December 29, 2014 until 11:00 a.m., the hour of Service. Pastor Jack Roth will officiate.

Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion, Pa.
