William J. “Bill” Garrity
William J. Garrity, age 60, of South Connellsville, Pa., passed away suddenly on Wednesday December 24, 2014 at Highlands Hospital.
He was born November 13, 1954, to Geraldine (Dull) Stape and the now late Joseph Garrity.
William graduated from Connellsville High School, Class of 1972.
He worked for Allegheny Power for over 30 years as a Welder and Fabricator.
He was a member of the South Connellsville Rod and Gun Club.
Bill loved the giving that comes with Christmas and was so pleased to be able to prepare Christmas for his family before going home.
He will truly be missed!
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Garrity.
In addition to his mother, he is honored and remembered by his wife of 39 years, Mary Catherine (Striner) Garrity; two children: Barbara Garrity of Longmont, Colorado and Justin Garrity and his wife Sirigun and their children Wilson and Sophia of Connellsville, Pa.; two sisters: Debbie Cheney of Scottdale, Pa., and Sandy Spellman of Uniontown, Pa.; brother, Shaun Garrity of Connellsville, Pa.; many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will be received in PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME INC., Dennis N. Heath Jr., Supervisor, 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, Pa., today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon.
Family and Friends are invited for a Service at the Funeral Home at 12 Noon with Pastor Robert Bixel officiating.
Interment will be private.
