Florence C. “Toots” (Smiley) Rosensteel
Florence C. ‘Toots’ (Smiley) Rosensteel, age 89, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2014 in Always Care Personal Care Home, Dunbar Township.
She was born January 14, 1925 in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Francis B. Smiley and Jennet E. (Watson) Smiley.
‘Toots’ graduated from Connellsville High School.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Vanderbilt.
Toots was predeceased by her parents; husband, Wayne A. Rosensteel; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Rosensteel; her brothers, John William Smiley and Patrick Smiley; and her sister, Winifred Hoyman.
She will be fondly remembered but sadly missed by her loving sons: Danny Rosensteel and his wife Frances, Timmy Rosensteel and his wife Pam, and Danny Rosensteel Jr. and wife Lori all of Vanderbilt, Pa.; her grandchildren: Timmee Burnworth and her husband Phillip of McClellandtown, Pa., Tommee Gaster of Leckrone, Pa., Jack Rosensteel, Collier, Pa., and Jimmee Rosensteel of Vanderbilt; her great grandchildren: Phillip, Alexis, Greenlee, and Liam Burnworth, Calvin Clark, Giavonna Gaster, Danny Rosensteel III, and Bailey Rosensteel; her daughter-in-law, Jackie Gaster of Collier, Pa.; and her sister, Frances ‘Dolly’ Grimm and her husband Charles of Fairchance, Pa.
The family thanks the Always Care Personal Care Home and the hospice nurses for all of their wonderful care given to Toots.
Family and Friends will be received today, December 31, from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Thursday (New Years Day) from 2 to 9 p.m. in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 East Green St., Connellsville, Pa. (724.628.1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
A Committal Service and interment will follow in the Dickerson Run Union Cemetery.
