Thomas Paul Slebodnik
Thomas Paul Slebodnik age 91, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away on Friday, January 31, 2014 in Country Care Manor.
He was born Sunday, September 10, 1922 in Herminie, Pa., the son of Paul Slebodnik and Ann (Chismar) Slebodnik.
He was a proud United States Army Veteran of World War II.
Thomas retired after 42 years as a Blacksmith from Pittsburgh Steel Company, Monessen Works, Donner Avenue.
He was a member of American Legion Post 51 in Uniontown.
He lived a long full life filled with faith and many experiences of life.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Helen E. (Bitner) Slebodnik; one step-son, James Spaw; one brother; three sisters
He is survived by two daughters: Patricia D’Isidoro and husband David of Smock, Pa., and Thomasine Slebodnik of Uniontown, Pa.; one grandson, Anthony Paul D’Isidoro and loving companion, Bonnie; his second wife, Geraldine (Cobert) Slebodnik of Uniontown, Pa.; two step-daughters: Yvonne Partridge of Uniontown, Pa., and Susan Moscalink of Greensburg, Pa.; two sons: Joseph Spaw of the state of California, Sam Spaw of Florida; many step-grandchildren and a sister, Jan Crowe of Marianna, Pa.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., Monday February 3, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 4, until 10:30 a.m., the hour of the Blessing Service. Rev. Father Robert T. Lubic will officiate.
Interment will be private.
Military Rites will be accorded at the Funeral Home by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Gold Star Post 7023 and American Legion Post 725 both of Perryopolis, Pa.
