Man to stand trial in child porn case
A North Union Township man who was caught in a sting by officers from the state Attorney General’s office for allegedly sharing, downloading and distributing child pornography online will stand trial.
Steven C. Elek, 72, 1 Spalding St. was charged in December with three felony counts of sexual abuse of children for distributing child pornography, four counts of felony sexual abuse of children for possessing child pornography and one felony count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Elek waived all charges against him to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Wendy D. Dennis today.
