Menallen working to have cable service extended

By Meg Thompson for The 1 min read

MENALLEN TWP. — Supervisors confirmed Thursday they are still negotiating with Atlantic Broadband to extend cable service to areas of the township that are currently without it.

“We promise we will insist on it,” said Supervisor Joe Petrucci, board vice chairman.

The supervisors also addressed some matters concerning winter weather.

The supervisors asked residents to park their vehicles off the streets or as close to the curb as possible in the event of more snowfall, as township crews have had trouble operating the snowplow with vehicles blocking the way.

Residents also were asked to keep in mind that the garbage disposal service may not always be able to collect garbage on their regular schedule, because of weather conditions.

In other matters, supervisors:

n Asked solicitor Doug Sepic to prepare a resolution to be considered for adoption next month stating that the 10-ton limit on Industrial Lane (Township Route 517) will not be enforced, because of the industrial purpose of the road.
