The Mountain Weatherman: Brushed by the Storm
The good weather news this morning is that its 38 degrees warmer than it was yesterday at this time, the bad news is that some snow came with the warm-up. The high yesterday was 24, the 24 hour low -16, another new record, and at 7AM we were 22 degrees with light snow. There was 1 and ¾ inches of snow overnight with a .13 inch liquid equivalent and we have 13 inches on the ground. The powerful nor’easter that’s plastering the east coast with very heavy snow will continue to give us mostly light snow today and we could see another 2 or 3 inches here by late afternoon. We’ll have some flurries and maybe some freezing drizzle tonight as the storm pulls away than another little system will bring some more snow tomorrow night when we could see another couple of inches. The weekend will be cold with a snow shower from time to time.
