A Uniontown man is facing multiple charges after state police troopers said they executed a search warrant on a vehicle during a traffic stop on Tuesday and found a cache of illegal drugs.

Aaron Dewayne “Poopie” McGee, 37, of 44 Evans St. was charged before Magisterial District Judge Randy S. Abraham with possession with intent to deliver drugs, possession of drugs and possession of marijuana.

Trooper Jeffrey S. Nicholson Jr. said the incident occurred during a traffic stop of a vehicle driven by Shawn Workman, no address available, on Pechin Road in Dunbar Township. McGee was identified as a passenger in the pickup truck.

During the stop, officers noticed the smell of marijuana coming from the truck, and Workman gave troopers consent to search it.

Nicholson said that during the search, troopers found a small vial of suspected PCP in McGee’s possession, along with more than $4,000. Officers also recovered several prescription narcotics, three small plastic bags of crack cocaine and a bag of marijuana.

He said that following the search, Workman provided police with a written statement regarding the incident and stating that McGee stashed the drugs inside the truck at the outset of the traffic stop.

McGee will face a preliminary hearing at a later date before Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic II.
