Jacob E. Bittinger, Sr.
Jacob E. Bittinger Sr., age 70, of Dunbar, PA, passed away on Tuesday February 11, 2014, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 13, 1943 in Uniontown, Pa., a son of Jacob and Pearl (Hoover) Bittinger.
Jake was a employed as a plumber & pipe fitter with Local Union No. 354, he was a member of the AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood, Pa., he served his Country with The United States Army in the Vietnam War, and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his father, five brothers, Leonard Bittinger, Burleigh Bittinger, Roy Bittinger, Stanley Bittinger, Edwin ‘Chip’ Bittinger.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Linda (Dennis) Bittinger, his children, Jacob E. Bittinger Jr., and his wife Christine, Brian Stockton and his wife Christina, grandchildren; Rachel Remer and her husband Joshua, Joshua Stockton, Chloe Stockton. He is also survived by his mother Pearl (Hoover) Bittinger, sisters; Katherine Lawrence, Audrey Fitzpatrick and her husband Clark, Ethel Memmo, Arlene Sproles, his brother Arnold Bittinger and several nieces and nephews.

HOME, INC. 603 North Gallatin Ave. Ext., Uniontown, Pa., today, February 14, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday February 15, 2014, until 11 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Paul Eckenrode officiating.
Interment will be held in Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa.
