The Mountain Weatherman: Just Dodged the Heavy Stuff
The snow came down, mostly on the light side throughout the daylight hours yesterday as we just dodged the really heavy snow that fell just southeast of us where Oakland Md picked up over 20″. The temperatures rose overnight to our high of 27, the 24 hour low was 22 and at 7AM we were 27 degrees under cloudy skies. We had 4 inches of snow yesterday melted down that was .33 inches of liquid and we have 15 inches on the ground. Our total snow for this storm was about 6 inches. Cloudy, breezy and cold today with a few snow flurries from time to time then a storm diving in from the great lakes will bring snow late tonight into tomorrow morning that should give the mountains about 3 inches or so. Cold on Sunday with some more snow showers that shouldn’t amount to much then we start our warm-up on Monday.
