Sharon Ann Rutland
Sharon Ann Rutland, 66, of Uledi, Pa., passed away, peacefully, in the Uniontown Hospital on February 14, 2014.
She was born on November 30, 1947, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Wallace Rutland and Althea Sims – Rutland.
She was a 1967 graduate of German Township High School. Sharon was employed at the Volkswagon plant, New Stanton, Pa., until it moved away and as a Scrap Crane Operator at Edgar Thompson U.S. Steel, Braddock, Pa. until her health rendered her unable to work.
Sharon enjoyed bingo, bowling, fishing, spending her time exploring the outdoors and with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Wally Rutland and William Rutland; four sisters, Ora Mae Hood, Roberta Thompson, Rose Rutland, and Brenda Burden.
She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Tracey Lynn Lee-Mongeau (Maurice), Uniontown, Pa.; one cherished grandson, Brendan Lee, Uniontown, Pa.; two granddaughters by love; Mikisa Solomon, Acme,Pa. and Abigail Burden, Uniontown, Pa.; one brother, Robert Rutland (Barbara), Uniontown, Pa.; one sister-in-law, Carolyn Rutland, Niles, Ohio; two nieces who were like sisters, Lisa Driscoll (Jack),Acme, Pa., and Lora Thresher (Steve), Uniontown, Pa., and a nephew who was like a brother, Larry Burden Jr., Uniontown, Pa.; a devoted caregiver, Lyndora Walters, New Salem, Pa.; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sharon’s beautiful voice will be missed by all who’ve heard her sing.
Friends will be received at the LANTZ FUNERAL HOME 297 E. Main St. Uniontown, PA. on Wednesday, February 19, from 4pm to 8pm where services will be held on Thursday, February 20, at 11am.
