Westmoreland County man waives child porn charges to court

PERRY TWP. – An Export man who police allege used a wireless connection at an area performing arts center to send child pornography to a police officer posing as a 14-year-old girl will have his day in court.

Theodore Mamel, 64, was charged with unlawful conduct with minors, possession and dissemination of child porn and criminal use of a communications facility.

Mamel, through public defender Jeffrey W. Whiteko, waived the charges against him to Fayette County Court during a preliminary hearing this morning before Magisterial District Judge Richard Kasunic II.
