Joseph P. Bitonti
Joseph P. Bitonti, age 85, Belle Vernon, Pa. died Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:12 a.m. at Hillside Manor in Uniontown, Pa.
Born Friday, October 5, 1928 in Belle Vernon, Pa., he was the son of the late Salvatore ‘Samuel’ and Mary (Spina) Bitonti.
A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Bitonti was a member of the Saint Sebastian Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. Bitonti was a retired Speech/Language Pathologist from Intermediate Unit One, California, Pa.
He was a veteran of the United States Army and member of the American Legion Post 659 and also the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 699 both in Belle Vernon.
He is survived by nieces and nephews: Joanne and Philip Savini, Uniontown, Pennsylvania Captain John J. and Karen Adametz of Gulf Port, Mississippi, Paul T. and Trina Adametz of Seven Fields, Pennsylvania, Michael Bitonti of South Carolina, Brian and Kathleen Dixson of North Carolina, Rich and Tracey Lower of Virginia, Robert and Marie Smith of Findlay, Ohio, Thomas Bitonti of North Carolina, Dianna and Steve Carpenter of Edenboro, Pennsylvania; great niece and great nephews: Dominique S a v i n i, P. J. Savini, J. S p e n c e r Adametz, S t e v e n Adametz, M a t t h e w Adametz, M a t t h e w D i x o n and Sean Dixon.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Paul Bitonti, F r a n k Bitonti, and S a m u e l Bitonti Jr.; and a sister, Anna M. Adametz.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 2, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon, PA 15012 (724.929.6183) where a Prayer Service will be held Thursday, July 3, at 9:30 a.m.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, 801 Broad Avenue, with Rev. Msgr. Roger A. Statnick, Pastor, as Celebrant.
Interment will take place in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Members of Saint Sebastian Parish will pray the Rosary for the departed soul of Joseph P. Bitonti at 3 p.m.
The Belle Vernon American Legion will conduct services at 7 p.m
