Regina Louise Bordas
Regina Louise Bordas, age 95, Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Saturday, June 28, 2014 in Country Care Manor, Fayette City
Regina was born on Wednesday, January 8, 1919 in Vanderbilt, Pa., the daughter of John and Helen Bordas.
Regina was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis.
She loved to be outside in her garden, planting flowers, weeding, any type of yard work; in fact, at the age of 90, she was still mowing her own yard!
Regina was an avid reader and skilled in making beautiful ceramics.
But, what will be remembered above all this of Regina is that she gave of herself at her own expense asking for nothing in return.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Bordas, Bill Bordas; sisters, Betty Casey and Ruth Bordas.
She is survived by two sisters Mary and Dolores cousin, Jeannie; four nephews: William Casey and his wife Saundra, Joe Bordas and his wife Debbie, Jonathan Bordas, Brian Bordas; a great niece, Annie Gearing and her husband Chad; and great nephew William Casey III and his wife Halley.
Friends will be received in the BLAIR-LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME INC., 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa., today, July 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Thursday, July 3, at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Perryopolis with Rev. Father Anthony W. Ditto as Celebrant.
Interment will follow in Saint John’s Cemetery.
