Joan (Leacy) Bowlen Barnhart
Joan (Leacy) Barnhart Bowlen, age 77, formerly of Collier, Pennsylvania and currently making her home with her daughter Joy in Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away with her loving family by her side on Thursday, July 10, 2014.
She was born Saturday February 20, 1937 in Collier, Pa., the daughter of William Leacy and Vivian (Taylor) Leacy.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands, Albert “ARay” Barnhart and Donald Wayne Bowlen; sisters, Mary Lou Leacy, Veronica “Bob” Brown, Jane Mudrey, Katherine Brown and Annette Leacy; and her brother, William “Buck” Leacy.
Surviving are her children: Eddie Barnhart and his wife Rhonda of Dacula, Georgia, Freddie Barnhart and his wife Marilee of Smithfield, Pa Joy O’Connor and her husband Bennett of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Danny Barnhart of Connellsville, Pa., Donna Maragliano and husband Bill of Bason, New York, Phillip Bowlen and wife Melissa of Adarisville, Georgia and Jeffrey Bowlen and wife Kiffany of Glenwood Springs, Colorado; 18 grand children; 20 great grand children; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Bernadette Gorman Carbonara and husband Joe of Uniontown, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will greet friends and family in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, Pa., Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. and on Monday, July 14, 2014 until 11 a.m. when a Word Service be held with Rev. Father Jaime Ozoa officiating.
Interment will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery, Fairchance Pa
