Barbara “Bobbi” (Simeone) Pukl Brogdon
Barbara ‘Bobbi’ (Simeone) Pukl Brogdon of Uniontown, Pa. passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born on Saturday, December 28, 1946 in Uniontown, Pa., the daughter of Alfonso Simeone and Annabelle (Galderisi) Simeone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her first husband, Frank J. Pukl III.
Barbara was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Uniontown.
She worked as a clerk for the City of Uniontown and was Deputy Secretary Treasurer.
Barbara graduated from South Union High School.
She was past President of the BPW (Business and Professional Women local Uniontown Chapter and a past District President of the BPW, and past President of AFSCME Local 2395.
She was a Math Counts Volunteer in Fayette County.
She was also Business Manager of Silverheels Lacrosse.
She bred English Setter Dogs and was an avid reader.
Left to cherish Barbara’s memory are her husband, Jarrott Brogdon; step daughters: Victoria Andrew and husband Scott of Bethel Park, Pa., and Helena Ganeman and husband John, Monongahela, Pa.; grandchildren: Tyler, Kendra, Natalie, Sarah and John Jr.; sister-in-law, Linda Sands and her husband Art of Davidsonville, Maryland; and niece, Cara Sands of New Port Richey, Florida Also surviving are two cousins: Donetta Horn and her husband Russell of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina, Jim Simeone of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; in-laws: Portia (Pukl) Phillips and husband Ken of Charleston, South Carolina and Richard Pukl and wife Marcia of Fairchance, Pa.; nephews and nieces: Lt. Colonel Dean Wood of Hawaii, Robin (Wood) Spillias of Tallahassee, Florida, Rachael (Wood) Sloan of St. Leonard, Maryland, Amy Pukl of Sarasota, Florida and Joshua Pukl of Buckhannon, West Virginia; great nephews and great niece: Zachary Sloan and Hunter Sloan of St. Leonard, Maryland and Gabriella Spillias of Tallahassee, Florida.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where family and friends may call Monday, July 14th, 2014 from 2 until 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue on Tuesday, July 15th, 2014 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at ST. PETER’S ANGLICAN CHURCH, 60 Morgantown Street, followed by a Service at 11 a.m. with Father John Cruikshank officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, Pa.
