Patricia L. Russo Furin age 86, Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 with her family by her side.

She was born on Monday, April 9, 1928 in Uniontown, Pa., daughter of Patsy G. Russo and Mary (Drews) Russo.

Patricia was a lifelong member of the St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Uniontown, Pa., and a member of the Wismer Bible Class.

She was 1946 graduate of Uniontown High School where she was a majorette.

She retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare after many years of service.

She was an avid lover of animals, especially her cat, Lillie Mae.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank ‘Fred’ Furin; two sisters, Viola ‘Vi’ Ryan and Eleanor R. Palmer; and a niece, Jane P. Morgan.

Surviving are daughter Patricia Ann Malec and her husband Fred of Uniontown, Pa.; sister, Mary R. Engle of Uniontown, Pa.; nieces: Marilyn P. Paulo of Atlanta, Georgia, Mary Lou Engle, Wexford, Pa.; nephews: Grover ‘Huck’ Engle and Bobby Furin both of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa. today, July 20th, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the ST. PAUL’S EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 71 North Gallatin Avenue Uniontown, with the Rev. Jim Engel officiating.

Interment will be private.

Visitation was also held Saturday, July 19th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
