William H. “Bill” Campbell

William H. ‘Bill’ Campbell, age 87, of Uniontown, Pa., passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 in the Veterans Hospital, Aspinwall, Pa.

He was born Tuesday, December 14, 1926 at High House, Fayette County, Pa., the son of Mary Campbell.

Bill was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II and member of North Union Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8543.

He was retired from Anchor Hocking Cap in South Connellsville, Pa.

Bill was a loving father and was very devoted to his family.

He was predeceased by his mother; son, William J. Campbell; brothers, Benjamin Campbell and Walter Campbell.

Surviving are his wife, Clara (Seibert) Campbell with whom he would have celebrated 59 years of marriage this November; children: Susan Tate Bowlen and husband Harry of Fairchance, Geraldine Tate Sobek and husband Edward of Uniontown, Sheila Campbell at home; grandchildren: Scott A. Bowlen, Rachel Bowlen-Serrano, Edward A. Sobek, Michael Sobek; his best and loyal friend, Bill Brant of Collier, Pa.

Friends will be received in DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD, Pa., today from 3 until 7 p.m. and Wednesday, July 23, until 11 a.m., the hour of the Service with Pastor Becky Didittenhafer officiating.

Interment follows in Mountain View Memorial Park, Brownfield, Pa.
