Connellsville Redevelopment Authority seeks bids for Francis Avenue project

By The 1 min read

The Connellsville Redevelopment Authority voted on Monday to advertise for bids for the Francis Avenue reconstruction and storm sewer project.

The project involves milling and resurfacing the street and storm water collection improvements, said Michael Edwards, the authority’s executive director.

The bids will be opened at authority’s next meeting on Aug. 18.

In other business, the authority authorized payment of $20,172 for the delivery of playground equipment for Mountz Creek Park. The equipment should be installed in the next couple weeks, Edwards said.

The authority is also accepting requests for the 2014 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) until Aug. 1. Edwards said City Council will select the requests that will be in the application.
