Evelyn E. (Yanick) Cox age 96, of Uniontown, Pa. passed away Monday, July 21, 2014 in the LaFayette Manor.

Evelyn was born on Saturday, July 13, 1918 in Connellsville, Pa., the daughter of the now late Frank Yanick and Effie V. (Grimm) Yanick.

Evelyn was a 69-year member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the Victory Dorcas Sunday School Class.

She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 263 and the Golden Age Club both in Uniontown.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell E. Cox; parents; brothers, John Yanick, Robert Yanick, James Yanick, Frank Gorman; sisters, Alberta Brothers, Catherine Showman, Sylvia Yanick and Nellie Gorman; and sons-in-laws, Eugene Cavaliere and Kenneth Barclay.

Left to cherish Evelyn’s memory are her son, Gerald E. Cox and wife Kathy of Grafton, Ohio; and daughters: Marlene A. Daniels and husband Harry, North Ridgeville, Ohio, O. Elaine Cavaliere and Geraldine Barclay both of Uniontown, Pa.; twelve grandchildren, twenty-four great grand children and ten great great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, PA 15401 where family and friends will be received today, July 23rd, from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday, July 24th, from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Service celebrating Evelyn’s life at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Keith Lohr officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sylvan Heights Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa

Eastern Star will conduct services in the Funeral Home today at 7:30 p.m.
