Cecil B. Grimm
Cecil B. Grimm, age 96, Indian Head, Pa., passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 30, 2014 in Golden Living Center, Uniontown, Pa.
He was born Thursday, August 30, 1917 in Tarrs, Westmoreland County, Pa., son of Amos Grimm and Ruth Wolford Grimm
He graduated from the former German Township High School with the Class of 1935, McClellandtown, Pa.
Prior to his retirement Cecil worked as a Coal Miner for the H.C. Frick Company at the Shoaf Mine and the Bridgeport Mine and also at the Republic Steel’s mines.
He was a veteran of World War II having served in United States Army and landed at Omaha Beach on D-Day.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the 29th Division Association, the Antique Motorcycle Club of America and American Motor Association.
Cecil was predeceased by his parents; a brother Ronald Kent Grimm; and a sister, Lillian Marie Bjostad.
Cecil is survived by his brother, William Amos Grimm and wife Andrea of Georges Township, Fayette County, Pa.; a sister, Barbara Carol Rolens and husband John of Mexico; a nephew, William Grimm, and a niece, Caroline Grippe, both of Uniontown, Pa.
As per Cecil’s request there will be no viewing or services.
