Harriette Hazen (Murphy) Harper
Harriette Hazen (Murphy) Harper, age 91 years, of Uniontown, Pennsylvania passed away Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born Monday, March 19, 1923 in Smock Pennsylvania daughter of Watson Murphy and Maude (Cooper) Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry C. Harper; grandchildren, Ronald A. Crossland, Ronald S. Harper Jr., and twins that died at birth; two infant brothers; and sister, Betty Lou Murphy Smocer.
Harriette was a 1940 graduate of Uniontown High School.
She attended Mount Moriah Baptist Church.
She was a 4-H volunteer.
She loved to cook and especially loved the time she spent with her family.
Left to cherish Harriette’s memory are her five children: William W. Harper and wife Fran, Waltersburg, Pennsylvania, Janie L. Harper Crossland of Uniontown, James H. Harper and his wife Lani of Uniontown, Ronald S. Harper and wife Bonnie of Uniontown, Robert R. Harper and wife Cindy of Uniontown; 14 grand children: William W. Harper II, Lee Anne Baker, Lou Anne Demosky, Esq., K e i t h Crossland, K e v i n Crossland, K i m b e r l y Harper Riggar, Kristi Harper Bell, Richard S. Harper, J o s e p h H. Harper, David S. Harper, Ronda J. Harper Diamond, Robert R. Harper Esq., Dr. Stephen E. Harper and Corey E. Harper Diamond; 23 great grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, Pa., where family and friends may call today, June 5, from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. and Friday, June 6 from 10 until 11 a.m. followed by a Service celebrating Harriette’s life at 11 a.m. with Rev. Darrel Edgar officiating.
Interment will follow in Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, Pa.
Visitation was also held Wednesday, June 4, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
